This series investigates the rapid changes in our society. The sinking appearance of each artwork/building in the Perspex box reflects the reality of a seemingly unstoppable development of high-rise buildings that are growing
too fast. There is less space in our cities, to the point that it feels hard to breathe.

In recent years, we have realised the need to protect precious historical buildings and sites. Some of them are, but what surprised us were the environments surrounding them; the historical building becomes a sort of centenarian in a modern or trendy environment, accompanied by high-rise buildings that accentuate their incompatibility. The noise of motorcycles and vehicles shocks them to the verge of collapse.

The present series focuses on the contradiction: the awkward and embarrassed situation of the old building. The artwork is protected in a clean and clear Perspex box, kept to narrow and small dimensions, representing this awkward situation.
