There is no escape route in the age of distraction. Every escape strategy begets another form of escapism. There is no staying put. Life is lived like a scrolling screen doomed to infinite movement. A saturation of novelty: every experience is a fortuitous encounter, but the thrill and throe are short-lived. All are much of a muchness. Radical difference and radical mimicry are two sides of the same coin, steadily converging to form a singular plane. There is no escape to distraction.
