A+ WORKS of ART is pleased to announce our upcoming exhibition, after all we carry, a solo exhibition by Sarah Radzi, curated by Anatashia Saminjo.
In after all we carry, Sarah Radzi brings forth a body of work that moves between figuration and atmosphere. The title gestures to a state of ongoing transit whereby carrying becomes both metaphor and method. What is it, after all, that we carry through space and through time? We choose to carry certain responsibilities; we hold onto memories and to hope. But there are attachments we do not choose to carry with us like the weight of grief or to be burdened by expectation.
Sarah Radzi’s figures are caught in the paradoxical weight of carrying: to be borne, to encumber, but also to offer.
