The work takes cues from the recent development in Palestine’s seventy-five years of struggle against imperialism. It places the struggle of Palestinians against the US-backed settler colonialism of zionist Israel in the context of the global economic crisis and the resulting struggle of the oppressed peoples not only against colonialism but against class oppression as well.

The dozer, like the fence, is an imperialist implement for the methodic plunder of lands; but when wielded with a revolutionary impetus, it becomes a tool for liberation. Tangentially, the work also points to the inevitable fall of colonial regimes as class antagonisms inevitably intensify.

Lastly, the work is a stance for solidarity with the people of Palestine. The Philippines, like Palestine, also bear the weight of imperialism and its many deliberate tragedies. Through a proletarian revolution, both oppressed nations shall create for themselves and for the global population a society without exploitation, oppression, and abuse.

A society that is genuinely thriving and free is possible.
