Everything I present now is based on events after 1965 or more popular in Indonesia with the abbreviation G30SPKI. After this incident, there was a lot of trauma felt by people of Chinese descent that made them closed and did not want to talk, there were around 64 prohibitions issued by the New Order to discriminate against ethnic Chinese from sociocultural aspects in Indonesia, such as banning Chinese schools until the implementation of the Indonesian Embassy (Proof of Indonesian Citizenship).
In this work I borrowed the object of the national symbol of Garuda Pancasila which was made of one whole wood (related to the wealth of natural resources at that time) and borrowed the text of peace from the Chinese script and ornaments that have long adapted to the carving culture in Indonesia (mostly more clearly seen in the carving styles in eastern Java to Madura). Of course, this mixing process illustrates how the process of blending Chinese and Indonesian cultures occurred before the incident in 65. So I made a reminder in the form of this work.
