Quite recently it was made known to the public, although being a worthless piece of news and a waste of journalistic resources, that an infamous prison inmate's favourite drink is the Iced Caramel Macchiato. This news which was brought forward by the inmate's poor distraught offspring was met with great ridicule by the general public. However, I took it upon myself to sample this well-known beverage several times to try and empathize and understand its appeal.
The official description for Caramel Macchiato on the website of an honest and ethical global chain of coffee shops is: "Freshly steamed milk with vanilla-flavored syrup marked with espresso and topped with a caramel drizzle for an oh-so-sweet finish". On a hot and humid day, after hours of hard work, I can with confidence recommend this Iced Caramel Macchiato to any living functional human being. The first sip of the cool liquid followed by notes of fruity coffee, finished by the oh-so sweet caramel definitely relaxes the tension in one's muscles and makes one temporarily lose sight of any impending doom.
It is because of this that I intend to propose that the Iced Caramel Macchiato be considered by the proper authorities as the national drink of Malaysia. To finish one grande (16 fl oz) of this drink while sitting on a cold hard cement floor while watching the sunset through a small hole in the wall should not only be a luxury of a few.
